Rather than asking what painting represents, the magazine is interested in how paintings come into being, how they behave as objects and surfaces, and how material, technique, history and thought become entangled within them.
Each issue brings together texts, artistic positions, conversations, images and found material. Not to define what painting is, but to create different ways of looking at, thinking through and reading it.
